I'm assuming that structure allows the use of a speaker AND the defroster to use the same hole?

Yes. I custom mounted speakers. I have the switch for defrost so i thought why not use it

If I remember right...Charger has a different 'box' than other B bodies.

I sold one a few months ago that I thought was for all Bs. The guy calls me and says it won't fit his Charger. I have the old parts books and sure enough.... Charger is different. The box and the outlet grille.

I have one in both my 70 Charger R/T S.E. and my 70 Challenger R/T S.E. Keep in mind that the mounting bracket does take up some of the front over the hump trunk space. However, they both do work great during colder weather and de-fogs the window in seconds. I can feel the air blowing off of them while driving on the back of my head.

My car's too loud to consider any sort of sound system. If I want tunes I'll just toss a bluetooth speaker on the back seat. And my hearing's shot too !!

What diffuser does the charger take?
I have standard B body ( long and slightly curved) and the smaller 71 B and E style.
And of course, blower fans.

I don't seem to have any pictures of the set up in my Charger, but I did notice that I did have one picture of the set up in my Challenger.
