I saw on the Aero Warriors sight that all Superbirds shipped to California had to have the noise reduction package. does anyone know what that was? thanks

N97 It means different things on different vehicles.
Required on 383-4 and 440-4 NA otherwise.

No chrome tips. They all had silenced aircleaner because there is no fresh air hood on a bird.

No chrome tips and CAP package ... I have a Charger RT that’s a Cali car and the build sheet designates CAP and turn downs, rear tail pipes are smaller too.

So no noise reduction package on a Hemi and 440 -6 pack cars going to California in 70? , just 383 and 440 cars? I think all Hemi cars had the resonators, my 69 Hemi RR did and the 70 Hemi cars also. I was thinking the same thing on the undercoating and Hood pad also to keep the noise down as that was already offered as a package. Does anyone have or know of someone with an Superbird originally shipped to California? to see if it came with undercoating ? and a hood pad.

I would refer to experts and Dave wise books for additional info as there are many variables BUT Cali cars were very specific on what they were required to have on.
