Survivor 68 Charger sells on Mecum for $42k

Was it a re-run show or something? That sold on September 8-11th

2barrel car with auto on the column not my first choice for sure

Might have been a rerun, not sure. Was talking to mom in FL at the time and had it in the background.

Nearly 20k more than I paid for mine. I'm good with that

(even with my car's stupid black rub-strip thingy...)

You know it's original when it has pizza cutters in the back that make the quarters look absolutely massive.

It's funny one might find better (or certainly safer) deals at the bigger auctions for Gen II Chargers than out in the wild? I've seen far worse shape 68s going for $40k? We live in a Mad Mad world?

I dare say that once someone spends the money to ship and consign one of these to an auction house, they've already done their due diligence to understand that they have no hopes of selling the car if they follow the lead of other price-gouging opportunists on Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, or Craigslist, whether that be overpricing it from the get-go, holding a fake auction, or jerking around potential buyers over value.

What was the starting price when it was on eBay? Was there a reserve, and if so, was it ever cleared?
