Hello. So I'm getting ready to upgrade my suspension on my 67 Belvedere II. First piece to remove per the instructions is the sway bar. This car does not have one. Is this normal or did the previous owner screw up and not install one? The kit I'm installing does have on new one. Just curious cuz I've been cruising around without it for a while. Thanks for any replies.

Most belvedere models did not have a sway bar. I think satellites were maybe 50/50 or less.

Talking only 67-70 B-bodies here. RR GTX Coronet R/T and Super Bee had a standard sway bar. Add to that list all station wagons. Also all V8 Chargers 67-70.

The rest of the cars it was optional with trailer tow or HD suspension. A383 4bbl car most times did not have a sway bar.

A 66-67 Satellite, 68-70 Sport Satellite and Coronet 500 was a trim and interior upgrade, no sway bar suspension or brake upgrade came std on these cars.

Unless we are talking about 66-67 with 426 Hemi, those had the suspension upgrades.

Further - most (all?) cars without a factory sway bar will not have the sway bar bracket welded on the lower control arms for the end links. The brackets can be purchased and welded on. But I believe some of the aftermarket front sway bar kits provide an alternate means of fastening the end links to the lower control arms.
