A couple of years back there was an article about the same swap.906 heads fully ported swapped for edelbrocks out of the box.I believe it was in a 68 cuda bracket car.Car picked up 3tenths quicker with no other changes and gained a little more with some tuning.Definately go with the aluminum heads money well spent.:headbang:

I would go with the aluminum heads for sure. At 11.0 comp with iron heads you wont be pump gas friendly even with quench it will be pushing it and it is very hard to get good quench with 906 heads. I would go with the Eddy's or any good aluminum head. 11.0 can be a pump gas eng with aluminum heads and if you go with closed chamber then build a zero deck eng and use the .039 head gasket to get good quench. thanks ron. i'm leaning toward the top end kit from eddy on summit racing
