Hi, anyone recommend using Teflon tape of the threads for the neutral safety switch on a 727 transmission? I have a new switch and I see the threads are straight. Not tapered. So I was considering using Teflon tape but want you all’s opinion. Thanks.

There would be no problem using a pipe thread sealant paste.
There should be conical sealing washer.
I'm not personally on the fan list for the tape.

There is a washer. If it is standard to just use that I will roll with it.

No sealers needed. Just install with the proper sealing washer as said.

If you use tape, make sure that there is still some metal to metal as it needs a ground to complete the circuit.
