1972 Charger with hide away headlights. Problem is tension rod (headlight motor to doors) won't go back into end slots. If I adjust the motor manually to align the rod the motor is overloaded and the relay "clicks/chadders". If I disconnect the rod the motor works fine and no chadder when it reaches the "stops'. Starting in the down position, I loosened off the bolts holding the door assembly in place, to align the rod with the slots but that didn't work. There is play in both the rod and the assemble, not sure why it won't drop in? Any ideas?
