That'll buff out

I seen something like that happen when people used to drag race out at Gandy causeway backin the day. But the guy I seen that happen to in a Charger had the slap stick jump all the way to reverse instead of 3rd. The rear of car literally hopped off the ground several times and the rear came out.

That does look like a scary ride...

Good friends with the guy that built the motor in that car, I think headers and some other work. He's one of the best chassis guys around. However, previous owner (before this guy bought it) had had the rear suspension, chassis work done by another shop. I guess he "saved" money!

stick welding your rear suspension with 1/4" rods and 70 amp welder = Fail!! LOL

The neighbor across the street just welded in a 4 link with a Harbor Freight mig welder. Double LOL ! It's in a Ford though , so it's alright.. :icon_cheers:

Did the guy leave something loose?

Captain Obvious says it's always better to have a stronger rear than engine.
I've got a modified rear in an A body.
Welded it myself. Got 150K on it.
But it will handle the engine I have in the car.
IF I ever re-engine the car I well ether build an 8 3/4 for it or
keep my foot out of it.

I don't think 70 amps would even melt a 1/4" rod. It would be almost impossible to strike an arc.

I wonder what the shotgun wench in pic 2 is thinking about?

Cool how the fronts ended up in the proper direction steering into the mayhem.

What state was this in?

Easy, Clint Eastwood in the "Outlaw Josey Wales" and Dirty Harry.
I think it was actually "A man's got to know his limitations".

I would think that the lady riding shotgun is waiting for someone to bring her some fresh, dry pants!

I agree, that would be a huge rod and it wouldn't melt. Even on the biggest jobs I didn't go past 3/16".

As for what state, no state. It's in Alberta, Canada.
