I'll just slowly walk away.. those 71's are a bigger obortion.

When you break 200 let us know. Gary Rhomberg who was involved with the wingcar program performed the windtunnel test on this car. He always wanted to see how a full scale version of the G series next generation wingcar would perform.

The 71 Wingcars are no different than the first generation wingcars were, they couldn't give them away when they came out. People didn't get it for the first couple decades.

A guy we know stored this car for the family that owned it for about 20 years,he used to call it the fish trawler! A lot of people didn't get the purpose built meaning of these cars, and had the 71 wingcars made production they would have faced the same fate. The cars were built using the actual wind tunnel photos of the G series testing for the 71 Daytona and Superbird 1/3 scale models.

The one thing I liked about the Daytona… no vinyl roof. And somebody had to have one.

The dealer put it on. That car was never sold to the public or registered. The dealer kept it. There is a BS story about this car being kept in Florida for 50 years, when it was really in Wrentham Massachusetts the whole time. I saw it with my own eyes. The four original magnum 500 wheels with center caps and trim rings were in the trunk.

Is that the only one? I remember seeing a Daytona with the vinyl top, and it said it was a dealer install. I can’t remember the color though.
