Here we are waiting to qualify at the NHRA Division 7 race
in Pomona California in Stock and Superstock.

I did well at the last Vegas Race beating the last year's World
Champion and our good friend CW twice in the same day in two
class PRO and SPORTSMAN. In the Semis I put down a .009 to his
close .022 and took a .002 stripe at the finish. A round or two before
in the other class, I took a .005 stripe for the win. I will not beat him
very often this year!

Sadly, after 3 days straight all day (90+Degrees) in the PRO final late Sunday Night,
my leg spasmed and I could not hold the car to get staged (No fun being so Damn Old)
I was foot braking both class that weekend for practice for the upcoming Nationals and Divisionals.

God Blesses me so very much every Day with his undeserved kindness!

Son of David have mercy on your pitiful servant!

Nice line up of MoPar Muscle...

getting old sucks

I just looked for it, I didn't even know they were running the
Div. 7, Lucas Oil sportsman race this weekend, must be a new deal

do you guys still run at the In & Out Burger National Event at Pomona in April too ?

We were at Gatornationals last weekend. Had a blast as usual. Been going since we saw Bernstein top 300 in '92. Too bad we're on the other coast. Would love to see you race.

These cars were on display in Top Eliminator Club.

We will be there racing 5 or 6 cars at Winternationals.

Lord Willing!

Spasms, get them a lot, worse if I drink a cup of coffee. About the last vice that I can enjoy, magnesium helps. Yes, getting old sucks in some ways, but at 76, I wouldn't have it any other way. Stay the course John!

Thanks, I started taking 1500 MG of Magnesium daily this week!

The white Aspen looks familiar...ex Sarret car?

Dehydration also causes leg cramps in particular, so a long day in warm weather without enough water can be a factor in legs cramping or spasming.
I usually get leg cramps at night after track days. I’ve always figured it was dehydration even though I drink a lot of water. I drink a lot of coffee too so that doesn’t help.

I’ve been nursing a theory that adrenaline dumps can cause fatigue, maybe cramping too. I still get pretty wound up racing, my hands are usually shaking when I look at my time slip. I think that takes a toll on you through a long day.

@GTX JOHN
Pickle juice (almost any type)
& watermelon juice, are both great electrolytes for hydration

I now take Magnesium Citrate 1200mg tab, & a fish oil 1200mg with Omega 3s
like 4: pm every day, supposed to take before or with meals
both on a suggestion from a dr.
for leg cramps, especially if you sweat a lot, I sweat a lot too

I was getting them (leg cramps or (?) muscle spasms) at night
when 'I stretched out' especially
for some strange reason

I used to get cramps bad, when I was a young kid too,
ran around or rode my bike constantly too, so it wasn't for lack of circulation
I'd often, jump up & walk them off...
Even when I was in sports...
Had it most my life, it's not just for/from getting old...

I'm on my feet a lot, always have been,
to me, it seems like walking on asphalt/concrete
hot or hard surfaces doesn't help either,
good arch support/inserts in your shoes does wonders

Supposedly "walking & more blood circulation helps",
I already walk 8k-10k steps a day everyday

I've been taking them 2 supplements
(appr. $20 ea. bottle at CVS for like 3 months/90-120 gel tabs)
for almost a year now, very few issues now too
Supposed to be good for the heart & your blood circulation,
according to my Dr.

There's two different types of highly digestible Magnesium supplements
Citrate & Glycinate (?), I was told to take the 1st...

I bought it from someone in Ohio somewhere
around that time maybe 2012 or so. Got stuck in a snowstorm and
had to rent a barn for my truck and trailer and
fly home. A day or two later in finding a flight and my
son would have missed his own Wedding (Dec. 1st.)

I kept it around a year and sold it to my good friend Gregg
Luneauk (RIP). He ran it for a while and then sold it. He then bought
it back a few years later. When he fell ill to his final illness, I sold it
Just in Time Racing out of Sweden. It lives in my shop and Mathias flies
in a couple times a year and we bring it to the track for him to race.

Now you know the whole Story.
