Saw this on tv last night, never heard of it but it was really great! Some actors I knew other I've never heard of. At 1st I thought Michael Sarrazin was Peter Fonda until I looked up the cast. They certainly could have been twins.

Me too. Dated today, but I sure like it. "What's behind me doesn't matter." "Why Me Lord ?" Because your a A$$ hole that's why !" 2 statements I remember well from the movie.

One of my favorite movies, have it on DVD. Seen it at the theater when it was released in 1976. I was 11 back then.
A good time for movies, Star Wars and Smokey and the Bandit released in 1977.
I missed seeing some good car movies when they were first released:
Vanishing Point, 1971
Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, 1974
Gone in 60 seconds, 1974

I remember that one, we watched it as kids... It was definitely the era of strange and goofy car movies. Another one was the original Death Race 2000 with David Carradine

Great old flick
I watched it too, I DVR'd/saved it for latter too

Are there any coast to coast even occuring? I see state rallies but no coast to coast. Time and locations were pretty hush hush on them even in the 70s.
