I met him and Joe Walsh at a backstage BBQ before Ringo Starr's All Star Band concert at the Pantages in California. They sat down about 15 seconds after my date went to the bathroom. All Joe said was "How ya doinnn'?" and neither he or I got another word in. Gary talked so fast all I could understand was he was trying to get me to go to a party. Thankfully John came back then and rescued me.

There was no mention about the view so I declined.
