There seems to be a trend among many of these sellers to paint the engine compartment black instead of body color, that is disappointing.

1969 AMC AMX It's too bad for the former American Motors Corporation that its little two-seat AMX muscle car wasn't as popular in 1968-1970 as they are today. Because of slow sales, the "not only sporty but attractive" sports car fell by the wayside in 1970 without huge numbers being produced. Now wherever one of these GT type cars shows up people are clamoring to get a look at it. Big Bad Orange was the color of choice for our offering and it looks great with the white center stripes and all black interior. American Torque Thrust II wheels seemed to be an outstanding decision to complete the appearance of this "X". Performance factors include 390 ci engine, four speed manual transmission and factory posi- traction rear end. This car offers a real opportunity to show up at any venue and stray a little from the "norm."

This is one very nice 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II, that has been restored to look like a GTX. An original GTX in similar condition would cost much more. It’s a classic, one owner since its restoration. It is a very nice example of early Mopar Muscle Car. It has a period correct 440 ci engine and a 4 speed manual transmission. Its paint still looks wet. It was appraised by Pennacle Auto Appraisers in Denver, August 29th, 2013, where they said it was one of the nicest GTX clones on the current market at that time. It is a garage queen, never been out in the rain or snow, and has only approximately 4,000 miles on it since its restoration. It won a Best in Class Mopar trophy in the only car show I ever entered it into. It definitely is a head turner, gets lots of attention from Mopar fans. Starts and runs great and is reliable enough to drive every day. It’s being sold as is, no guarantees or warranty. Please only serious buyers, no low ball offers, I don’t need help selling it. I will consider reasonable offers, cash only, not interested in trading. In fact if it doesn’t sell, I will just keep it. The only reason I am trying to sell is I have too many hobbies.

1969 Plymouth Road Runner 3rd owner of this car and it sat in a barn in Tennessee for 22 years. I have a very solid driver that needs a bit of freshening up. It has an older repaint and looks good from 20. The engine is a 1969 440 with lots of goodies but the car originally had a 383. There is no rust under this original Road Runner but there is a few bubbles and a little work was done in lower quarters years ago. This is not a rust bucket and is very solid bench seat automatic car. The car has a front disc conversion and many new engine parts. I have a clean title. Purchased a set of bucket seats that need recovering that go with it. There is also a floor shifter and extra steering column that go with it and an entire 1969 Satellite with many spare parts and a 318 Polyhead engine.

Runs 11.7s at Bandimere.
Greetings Steve! I worked at the NHRA Mile High Nationals with a Goodyear race tire distributor supplying Goodyear race tires trackside from 1988 to 1994. That high altitude air vs. sea level air really knocks down elapsed times to the normally aspirated drag cars. The Pro Stockers always put on a good show at beautiful Bandimere. Even though the NHRA Pro Stockers E.T. & M.P.H. numbers flashed on the Bandimere scoreboard are altitude corrected, you can hear that mile high air really knocking them down a couple of pegs.

The above GTX is a strong runner @ 11.70s at Bandimere and would be running 10.90s all day at sea level!

To convert Quarter Mile ET and MPH to sea level times, multiply applicable factor times your ET or MPH.

There seems to be a trend among many of these sellers to paint the engine compartment black instead of body color, that is disappointing.
I'm guilty of this but in my defense I was planning on re-painting the whole car black and the engine bay was the first to be done. In the 4 years in took to finish the car, the original color (citron green) grew on everyone and so I'm leaving it original. I'd love to re-do the engine compartment citron green but unless there's an issue there's no way I'm pulling it out again.

1964 Plymouth Sport Fury

426 Max Wedge V-8 engine
4-speed manual transmission
Twin Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carburetors
Posi-traction rear differential

A beautiful, classic American muscle car, the Plymouth Sport Fury!

Finished in a beautiful deep glossy black paint job shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection.

Inside, the Red and white vinyl seats all look great with no major signs of wear visible. The door panels are finished to match the seats and dashboard are matched to mirror the interior of the car and all look fantastic. Paint and body are displayed well with minimal paint issues and no visible evidence of repair or damage.

Starting in 1962 and ending in 1969, the Sport Fury was offered as a hardtop coupe or a convertible. Realizing the mistake made in downsizing their full-size cars, Chrysler Corporation began to restyle and enlarge the Plymouths and Dodges on the same platform, which improved sales in 1963 and 1964. The 1964 models saw an improvement in sales, especially the two-door hardtop, which featured a new slanted roof line. Many enthusiasts consider the 1964's to be the most attractive of the early 1960's Plymouth's. Like models of this car won 14 NASCAR races with a top speed of over 185 mph. While taking this car to a show in Annapolis MD I got her up to 90 mph and she was at less than 50% throttle!

This true example of a Plymouth Sport Fury is equipped with a 426 ci Max Wedge Super Stock Stage III Race V-8 engine The Max Wedge was a race-only version of the 426 Wedge engine offered from the factory. Known as the Super Stock Plymouth and Ramcharger Dodge, the Max Wedge featured high-flow cylinder heads developed through state-of-the-art (at the time) airflow testing. Induction came by means of a cross-ram intake manifold tuned for peak power above 4000 rpm and two Carter AFB-3447SA 4-barrel carburetors. coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission, provides smooth everyday driving, but with dual exhaust, power steering, power brakes, along with a Posi-traction rear differential, is ready for the track at any given moment!

These series Sport Furys are becoming increasingly hard to find in such solid well-kept condition.
