LOS ANGELES — Ron Popeil, an inventor and TV personality best known for his infomercials pitching the Showtime Rotisserie oven, Veg-O-Matic and the Pocket Fisherman, has died at age 86, multiple news outlets are reporting.

It slices, it dices, it julienne fries!
Rest in peace, original "as seen on tv" dude.

I never owned a pocket fisherman, but I did own a telescopic fishing rod that I used to carry on KLR 650 when exploring.

Another link to our past gone.
RIP Mr. Popeil. Who's next ? Mr. Ronco.
Hey RC, dont sell the ( Mr Dentist)kit short.
Were else are you going to get a at home do it yourself dental kit ?
Wild night at the bar ?
Kids eating to much candy ?
Tooth ache but you have to save money for your Mopar ?

I had one, God that was a long time ago. RIP Ron!

Guy was hilarious. Could sell you the poo you just took, and make you want to buy another for your friends!

Pocket Fishermen were awesome! I still have one here somewhere. Caught piles of fish with it off of a bridge when I was a kid. It was actually a quality product.
I may be wrong, but I think he also did the Patty Stacker, for making hamburger patties. Works great once you get the hang of it. Still use our forty year old one all the time. My Pocket Fisherman must be closer to fifty years old, still works slick.

The "Mister Microphone" had to be the most obnoxious ad of its day! Showed three guys in a car drive by three pretty blond girls by the beach, and one shouts into Mr. Microphone "Hey gorgeous, don't go anywhere, we'll be right back!" or something to that effect. Weird, even then. But the man was a true capitalist! If you didn't know it existed, he'd dig it out, make you want it, and sell it to you.

Mr Microphone, “hey good looking, be back to pick you up later”
I remember “Ronco” hustling that crap. What about, GLH Hair-In-A-Can. Basically spray paint for the bald spot on your head. Lmao

I knew someone would have the exact quote from the ad^^^!
