So the franchise owner can pay repair techs over and over again who charge for service calls:

Lol I was in Micky D"'s today and yes their shake machine was down. LMFAO

Its a deal between the Machines Vendor and McDonalds. Funny thing is these machines are in several fast food chains but McDonalds is the only one that has the issue. Because McDonalds owns them. I watched this video a while back.. McDonalds keeps it in house to make bank off their own equipment.

Wow, I didn't realize that this was an actual thing. I stop by a McDonald's once a month or so on my way home from work to indulge myself with a milkshake. They tell me that the machine is down about 50% of the time.

Ice cream Nazis?

Did the same thing two weeks ago. They can now officially stick their business where the sun never shines. Screw that!!

Everybody should order some ice cream and when the machine is down turn and say you're going to Burger King. Their machine is never broken. How about Dairy Queen? Where would they be if the manufacturer held them hostage. LOL

I should have mentioned that each McDonalds that has the issue is a franchise owned by individuals. So their break down of the machines is charged right to the franchise not so much McDonalds Corp. Basically they rip the owners for money

I just told my wife the same thing not 5 minutes ago. Dairy Queen, I'm on my way!!!!

Yep. The documentary I watched said they are intentionally making the servicing and documentation difficult so that money for service calls is funneled to a 3rd party contractor that is majority owned by corporate McD, and that company even brags that some absurd percentage of their revenue comes from repeat service calls vs first time sales and installs.

This type of thing exists pretty much in every business segment. Corporate execs sit around and try and figure out how to squeeze as much revenue as humanly possible out of every aspect of the business. Keep in mind that if they can save $.05 on one item it doesn't seem like much until it is multiplied many thousands of times. Along with the OEM the suppliers, vendors and service companies are doing exactly the same thing.

McDonalds??? Havent been trhere in years!!!! There are far better places to fatten up!!!!

Look, its very obvious that the incestuous relationship with Taylor and its service agreements makes both of these companies more money if they are broken. Clearly the money chain is to milk the franchise owners for fees and labor. Sue. Get together and sue McD's *** off......then, when in the discovery phase, make Taylor produce is OS software error codes and its firewall codes. These aholes would settle in five min. Taxes, fees and vig.....I never eat there....
