I put Odyssey batteries in my 2500 diesel twelve years ago and just load tested them the other day. Passed with flying colors. I shudder to think what it's going to cost to replace them when the time comes.

my org. **1999 Dakota SLT 4x4 truck battery
still holds a charge, been out of the car for a couple years (Dec 2023)
still showing voltage, it wasn't keep a full charge for like a month w/out driving
when I took it out of my 68 RR/trunk mount
I did a battery swap around, too the then near/er (back in Jan 1999)
new-ish *Optima red top 750ca Group 27
out my Yamaha gas golf cart, it had been in for several years, *put that in my 99 Dakota
took the crappy POS yellow Interstate battery out of the RR,
& I put that in my Yamaha Golf Cart, when I sold it, it was driven daily so it held a charge
it was near new, when it was in it, when I org. bought the RR, in Dec. 2005
I put the org. battery (photo below) out of the 99 Dakota, **in the trunk mt kit in my RR
in like Jan 2006-ish, I just replaced it like a almost 2 years ago now, like winter 2023
with a ***Optima Yellow top deep cycle 800ca, in the trunk of the RR
I bought a new ****Red Top Optima 750ca battery
to the replace the 15 y/o *optima Red top 750ca battery I put in my 99 Dakota
way back when, that was org. out of my out of my Yamaha Golf cart,
it lasted like 15+ years, I put the new Optima Yellow top deep cycle in the car Dec. 2023
so far so good on all fronts
** Excide 60 Chrysler lead acid it's over 25 years old, it was in my 68 RR for nearly 20 years
hands down longest lasting battery I've ever seen
new Yellow top deep cycle Optima in my RR now
