The Rifleman

Chuck Connors used to swing that 30 caliber Winchester with the big ring on the trigger guard and shoot like 6 rounds in a few seconds great show. also lost in space was great then too.

One of our local stations plays the Rifleman and Emergency reruns every afternoon. I enjoy them both, but especially Emergency, because that show inspired me to become a paramedic; a career I enjoyed for 16 years before becoming a physician assistant.

Yes, Emergency is one of my all-time favorites, too - along with Adam-12. As a firefighter, I find Emergency to be a very well done show, technically speaking. The actors - especially Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe (Johnny and Roy) did an impressive job of really being believable in their characters when performing technical tasks. I've read that the show is credited with helping spread the paramedic program through the U.S. - a relatively new concept when the show was created. I still watch it and enjoy it.

Check out ebay for the Rifleman. I am sure they would be selling it on there. I just bought the very first episode of the Lone Ranger off ebay. They are neat.

Johnny and Roy? Are you nuts? What about Dixie? Yum yum.

Yep... loved watching Chuck Connors as The Rifleman. But Have Gun Will Travel was my favorite. I got a HGWT birthday gift of a holster with a realistic gun, and it came with a set of "Paladin" business cards with the chesspiece logo on it... so, as a kid in my neighborhood, I was "Paladin" !!
