I did an office-library out of cherry, put the stain on then put the stain rag in a bucket in the box truck. Went back out to the truck 1/2 hour later and could see smoke, after that I used the fast drying paint-stains only.
About the batteries, at my shop and I had just shut doors. Happened to look at the power meter and it was still turning. Went back in wondering what I had left on, could find nothing so started turning off breakers till I found the culprit, the drill battery charger, with no battery in it! Unreal how fast that meter was turning, now everything gets unplugged till I need it.

I've heard batterys / chargers are a leading cause of garage fires.
