Charlie Westover. Heard this song far too many times. He grew up right here in my small town of Michigan. My neighbor graduated with him. Neighbor said he was an odd duck but he used to play pep assemblies at school for them. Small museum downtown in his honor. We used to have a summer fest that his wife would attend and met her several times. Summerfest was named after him until a few years ago when his name was removed by request of the family. Part of it was because the wife was struggling to travel. Still have the free summer fest with several hundred cars. Several local bands play 50s and 60s music on the stage and this song seems to be played by every one of them. I will admit, good tune though.
What a GREAT show!! Dennis Farina and his 1957 Chrysler 300 C...
Met him in the early 2000's a few doors down from my old plant on Fulton St at Dino's (the local diner). Talked to him for a good 30 minutes. You would never know the guy was a TV/movie star. A Chicago Guy through and through.
