Anyone ever use one? Can I use one in my carrier if its already a limited slip unit?

Those are intended for the open diffs which are different than the limited slip 2 piece carriers but I have no idea if it'll work in the LSD units. Is your LSD carrier wasted?

most are designed for open carrier wont fit limited slip.
your limited slip rebuilt is better in the long run , put mopar power to those and they strip/slip.

True in that thay are made for Open Did housings. I use to sell and install ALOT of them when I had my 4x4 speed shop. Lock-Rite was the first on the market. All it is is a Detroit locker center guts that you can put in an open did. I ran one in my 9" rear in my truck with 39" swampers and never had a problem ! Don't let the size fool you !

Actually no, its for all intents and purposes new. It came out of a late model ram with 2000 miles on it. Heres the deal. Its being modified to fit in my charger. It didnt have axles in it when i got it and they were full floating anyway, and 30 spline. I want to put 35 spline in it and apparently the side gears are harder to get for some reason. Before i took it apart i ordered a set and they are not correct. The only way i see the right ones offered is in a complete kit with spider gears and clutches. This costs about the same as the yukon locker. I figured if the locker is a better way to go than the clutch style trac lok i might as well do it

Check with Cranky ! He may have some ? I had a complete setup New but sold it last year. I don't think you can go wrong with the little locker. If you remberI use do a Ton of rears at the shop and still do here !

I know you did. From what i have been reading the new yukon is getting good reviews. Supposed to be a better stonger piece. But if that wont go in my carrier i need to get an open carrier. They look to be around 150 for a used one. That plus the locker. New bearings. At that point i could get a detroit locker carrier and slam it in

Those are a poor mans detroit
in the Jeep world a lot of people start with those then end up with selectable lockers
unless you are dragging this unit I would go LSD and if buying new go with a Truetrac no clutches
