I bought Moog tie rods and sleeves, the package said made in USA. I compared them to a set I bought as part of a front end suspension kit.
The differences are apparent, the Moog are better made hands down, the. knuckle area is larger and the way the body of the tie road becomes the thread looks better designed and stronger.
The import tie rods just look cheaper compared to the Moog.
The adjuster sleeve of the Moog is of a thicker steel than the import. Just a heavier duty unit as compared to the import.
Price? One Moog tie rod id more that double of its counterpart.
You decide what's best for you. I decided I wasted my money on the import and im much happier and feeling better about the Moog.

When you say import, which brand are they? So we know who to avoid. Moog still makes some good parts.

Does Moog have country of origin listed on the box? I've ran into the same parts, same numbers, but made in different countries before so it could be luck of the draw who made them.

Yes. I bought an idler arm and it was US made. Just got some rear leaf spring bushings and they are from Turkey.
