Why not just do the tint film instead of spending big bucks? I did my own in my 66 many years ago and it's not that hard to do and just did the Dakota using limo tint in the back window. Now that keeps the sun off the back of my neck!
If i am not mistaken the tinted glass option on old mopar's was a greenish colored glass. I believe my Roadrunner has it and it appears to be that way. I think AMD offers both the non tinted and greenish tinted options.
Unless it's installed very well, film can end up looking like crap. We're in that boat with my son's car. We'll be taking it off and redoing the windows.
My '67 coronet 440 4door has the non greenish tint factory..... and I can't find a replacement glass any where tint or no tint... 440 model not motor.... you couldn't get a 440 in a 440 you would have had to buy a 500 to get a 440
The windshield I just had installed in mine is and I like it but it's not the factory greenish tint but more dark grey-black. I'll likely get all the windows tinted, I like the look and the cooler interior.
AMD offers the glass, just remember AMD is just a middleman for Glass. You might find it in stock at A Safelite warehouse for much less Money! I got a windshiled from Safelite f or 110.00 then found rear glass off internet after looking a while. Allcomes from same factories in Tiawan.
I have the green glass and I'm not a fan. It just looks dingy. I will be going with 3M film tint.
As far as install it's not hard. For my beater I did it myself wasn't bad but it's not great. My nice car I had done because I used higher grade tint and figured paying someone was cheaper then fixing the learning curve.
