Tires for street and track time

no good for cornering though

Yes on both accounts...LOL

- - - Updated - - -

I have not found a street tire that can hook. My e/t streets 31.5x31 are ok if I start in 2nd at about a 40 MPH roll.

yep...

I haven't found a good real street tire that will actually hook & corner too

it's like you have to choose one style or other,
I know a drag cars charctorics & tire needs aren't anywhere near what a
resto-mod or pro-touring or even autocross/gymkhana
or Optima Ultimate street car challenge type cars has either...

Handling one's designed for far less body roll weight transfer actuall wants to be kept flat,
with use of stiff sidewalls, stiff springs, stiff shocks & sway bars front & rear etc.
handling properties but not for any real dead hooking, especially from a stand still, at all !!

The other Drags usually wants no sway bars etc. {especially on the frt}
the other is designed for & needs far more weight transfer to ever hook,
with a soft sider wall {softer anyway}

That's kind of total & complete opposites intended designs...

I have heard those NT05 wont get many miles and that they are an extreme summer tire so definetly no wet roads.

Wet roads... That is funny. I haven't driven the car in the rain since it was its original F8 green!
Miles? No biggie. I 'd rather replace the next set from wear rather than because they just got old.
