Dynomax Ultraflo's for the win! I took the super turbos off my cars and put Ultraflo's on them both. They have way less drone then the Flowmaster design and have a nice deep tone with a good amount of sound out the back. I had Flowmaster super 44's on my Roadrunner and cut them off and chucked them. Every hill I went up I had an enormous amount of drone and they just sound too tinny for me. Like a Chevy 454 lol.

As you age, you'll change your mind !

Straight pipes save lives.
I 2nd that and have been running straights since the mid 70's. And contrary to popular belief, they can be made to not be so loud and nasty sounding.....or they can be made to be as nasty sounding as you like lol

Flow masters 44''s on my car since the 80's. I have been thinking about switching them to Ultra Flows. It is loud even through the stock tips. Still has a drone even with an X pipe and resonators before the tips. Everyone else loves it. I get compliment's all the time on how good it sounds.

I too am running Flowmasters (they where on the car when I bought it). Pretty sure they are 40 series. I love the sound. They do drone at about 1800 RPM, but what the hell, it is after all, a muscle car and not a daily driver. I'm pretty sure that Flowmaster has come out with new versions since mine where installed so you can pretty much pick your sound level.

Here's a few vids to help.

a bit tamer sounding than the 40's series
it's sort of loud but not obnoxious

I like a muscle car to have it's pipes, be heard
if you don't like the tone, than leave it alone

I don't notice a drone really,
but I've has some sort of Flowmaster's for decades now
I have a Flowmaster system on both my trucks too

depending on what size pipe,
a moderate mod.'s a 2-1/4" to 2-1/2" pipes are plenty
if your making better power, maybe the 3" (or larger) is for you

too big of pipe when you don't have enough power to justify it
will help to cause reverb & air/exhaust to stall making that 'drone' tone

Magnaflow, hands down!!!

The big difference between flowmaster and magnaflow is that flowmaster are much louder at low RPMS and idle. My last car had both at on time and I stayed with magnaflow. Small block chevy 383 with 525 hp. The drone with the flowmaster was crazy. Much cleaner sounding with magnaflow and when you let the horses run both screamed, but, the flowmasters weren't as cleanly tuned. On my 65 I'm running glass packs for that old school sound.

Check out spintech as well. 440 with 3” exhaust w/ h-pipe. These are the 3000 series.

Nice sounding Charger there Funk.
Quality headers (Doug's or TTI) and any of the mufflers the guys mention above.
Go minimum 2.5 inches on the pipe with an X or H pipe.
Flow is the key to a good sound right behind a nasty cam.
