Top 10 Rudest States in America

I think just about anywhere the population is concentrated, the rudeness goes up and that can especially be seen on the roads in the cities and some of that moves out onto the interstate highways.

I lived in Alaska quite a few years ago - What I do remember besides the beautiful natural scenery was how “tough” the people seemed. I’m not sure about rude - but I would say down right unfriendly. I was from Minnesota when I went there so it was night and day for me. But again that was a long time ago.
Iowa and Idaho - not on your life. Some of the friendliest people in the country.
Almost everyone in Alaska is from somewhere else...

I found just the opposite, in Alaska
I found people very friendly & willing to help, or converse
when I lived there, a couple of years mid-80s

I was in my mid 20s too, I was a happy guy, full of life

now downtown Anchorage (or Fairbanks) in the debt of winter,
people sort of don't talk much, more about bundling up, warmth
than being rude or unfriendly

the natives/skimos can be a lil' downright mean/rude at times
some have a huge chip on their shoulders or drunk

Most all places I've lived or traveled seem to be nice
people seem to be open, welcoming & not rude
unless you piss them off somehow...

When I logged on to FBBO today a pop up ad for the Rudest States in America showed up. So I took a look. According to one study, here they are. Of course, New York is #1, but I demand a recount. I get the others, but Iowa and Alaska? And Idaho?
  1. New York
  2. Virginia
  3. Washington
  4. Iowa
  5. Alaska
  6. Utah
  7. Massachusetts
  8. Rhode Island
  9. California
  10. Idaho
I can see NY.....But NJ should be right next to it. So that list is total BS....
