Cleaning out my shed and found a lot of things tucked way in the back. Found a pair of torsion bars and cleaned them up on the wire wheel. Then got my calipers and checked the diameter, which was .880...they are 41 inches long so I know they are for an E or B body...confused on the diameter after looking up sizes I used my micrometers and came up with the same .880 reading. Will the numbers on the ends tell me anything??? Thanks in advance.
.

The .88 was a common bar. They should have 776 on the end of the right side and 777 on the left.

Ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me....Is that what they use in drag racing, like the 6 cyl production bar??? Yeah they have those numbers on each end...I want to sell them but do not want to misrepresent them...

They were used on 273. 318, 361, 383-2, 400-2. Most slant sixes used .86 bars. Like most things mopar, nothing is written in stone.
