It’s all fun til the rabbit gets the gun.
After a little grinding here, a little hammering there, and a little ingenuity throughout, I got the tri power 6 barrel on the 440 and it runs awesome!
Parts list:
2 2300 end carbs (350 cfm each) $580 for both new
1 center carb (325 cfm) $299 new
New Edelbrock intake $450
Carb linkage $75
2 side hung bowls, floats, etc. $100
New 440 air cleaner new $384
6 pack throttle bracket $35
Note the mopar throttle bracket also holds the Lokar kickdown cable nicely ;-).
All in, probably saved about $1400 by using tri power components. My 70rr is a cloned Belvedere so originality isn’t a thing for me.
Also added 1/4” wood spacers and still have good hood clearance.
