WTB Trim Fasteners for 66 Satellite

I need 6 of the fasteners that hold the top fender trim on a 66 Satellite. I'm looking for the hard plastic fasteners that have the screw post attatched. Any help that can be provided will be appreciated.

I never saw any like that. The ones I have seen are hard plastic that sit in the hole in the fender and a plastic pin is pushed in from the top that locks them in place.

I have the ones that you describe, the other ones apparently are used as a backup to securely hold the end of trim piece in case the trim pops off the hard plastic fasteners.

They hold down top of fender trim, door and quarters on ends correct? If you find some let me know if there are extras.

Wondering how many for whole car? My parts book seems to say 8, 2 for front fenders 4 for doors and 2 on quarters. Or is it 16 for whole car? It has been 38 years since mine have been off. Those are the only trim fasteners I didn't order.

Thanks for looking, I'm going to try to modify a couple of the plastic pin types and add a nut and bolt to hold them securely. I tried to use them to replace the old ones and they didn't seat correctly so when I attached the trim they dented the trim because they sat a little too high. Gotta love Mopar replacement pieces, usually don't fit quite right if you can find a replacement at all! Again thanks for your help.

I figured out a solution to my inability to find the screw down trim fasteners. I took the pin style fasteners for my fender and ground down the little tabs on the bottom. I then drilled the hole where the pin goes a little larger I replaced the pin with a 8-24 bolt and mounted the fasteners to the fender and the trim snapped securely on the fasteners without an issue.
The problem began when the pin fasteners didn't sit correctly on this one fender, not sure if the holes in the fender were smaller than the holes in the rest of the cars area for the trim. When i installed the trim on this fender the trim pieces didn't seat well and bent the trim out of shape, showing an indentation the shape of the fasteners. I then had to remove the trim, straighten the trim and start the search process for different better fitting fasteners. Not a 100% great solution, better than bent trim and loosly mounted trim. Gotta love Mopars!

Paint builds up in the holes and they do become a smaller diameter. I ran a small drill through them prior to installing the trim.

Yes they work, but the spring loaded ones are not the strongest for lateral pressure.
I've had problems with the trim "popping loose".
That is the kit I used.

I bought a couple of those spring loaded fasteners but they sat differently than the original ones, they cocked the trim higher on one side than they should be. I'm happy with my modification of the pin style fasteners, the trim is secure and sits correctly on the fender.

I know they sell these...I bought some a few years ago when I did 66 vert....I might have some I will look. If I remember correctly they go at the very front part of fender...very back hole in fender...very front and back holes in the doors and same on the quarters..The rest of the holes take the type with the plastic pins in them.

This is what I have left around...I wonder if you could widdle out the plastic a little and use a counter sunk bolt in the white plastic ones to act like the black ones you have...if any of this would help you they are yours...just let me know. Got a few of the springy ones too.

That's exactly what I did with the white pin style fastener. I drilled out the center and replaced the plastic pin with a small bolt, then fastened the trim with a nut on the underside of the fender, it worked well. Thanks for your offer but I was able to reuse the fasteners that I had.
