Best view in 800 years. Yesterday, tonight and till the 21st. Look to the West Southwest.
Saturn, Jupiter and the moon. In a triangle. Not again till 2080. Couple hours after sunset.
The 21st is the best night. The Winter Solstice.

:luvplace:
I was wondering where to look, just earlier this week
from a thread a couple of days ago
I looked/scanned the night sky all over the other evening,
Tuesday evening IIRC
it was nice & clear/cold too
I didn't see squat
I didn't really know where to look either, :fool:
came inside & soon forgot to check the -www- for location

maybe tomorrow :popcorn2:

I walk Remy every night around 10:30 or so and always checkout the stars. Orion has worked it's way back around finally. See Marrs and Venus in the Summer time.

My wife saw a post saying the Star of Bethlehem will be visible on the 21st, 45 minutes after Sundown, the 1st Time since the year 1226. Sorry, I don't have the link...

yeah I walk Elvis late too usually 11:00pm
go to the mailbox & lil' dog stroll, around the community
nobody is out then & I can let him off-leash occasionally
no other dogs & people for distractions
the coons & turkey's are up in the trees by then to
the occasional deer or cat, temps him too

I can do some mild training stuff,
he just stays next to me mostly anyway

I do it when it's not raining or snowing etc.

I’m not seeing squat tonight! Still snowing!

Ive been watching Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars all summer........ Venus in now visible in the early morning eastern sky, bright as balls

Saw them last night. The moon wont be in line till the 21st, the Winter Solstice.

Saw the ISS pass just below Jupiter and Saturn the other night.

VERY cool!
