Let me make sure this is right before I glue it down -

Looking at what kryslerkid has here, perhaps I have mine backwards?

I imagine it must take longer than the drying time of rubber cement to get around the trunk, so how do you guys do it? Put the glue on a foot or two at a time?

That looks correct.

When I did mine I smeared the cement around the trunk perimeter and let it tack up. Then I started laying the weatherstrip around the perimeter. It was a 3M adhesive in a tube.

Looks like you put the split below the rear window? I thought about doing that, seems like it would look better than having it by the trunk latch, but maybe Chrysler put the split there for a reason.

That was a picture from FABO. I had my seam down at the latch like you have.

Split at back window will guarantee a leak, don't do it. It goes in center rear.

The split is slightly offset from the trunk lock - not dead center.

Does the split need to be placed precisely? Surely not?
