I'm ready to install the trunk weather seal but I'm not sure which way it goes in. Which picture is correct with the installation? Or are the pictures wrong too. Thank for the help.

Your bottom image is the correct positioning but of coarse is glued onto the lip not into the channel. In the diagram, the top image is like the factory seal, the bottom one doesn't have the lip that extends down into the trunk. The lower one is what most repop seal look like but the top image shows you orientation of the seal

Bill Monk-In the drawing with the measurements, is the repop weatherstrip cut at the 25" mark or is that how the original ones came. In Moparmaniacs picture you can see a seam at what looks like that 25" mark. The repop weatherstrip doesn't have a seam and runs continually from end to end. I understand you leave a gap at the bottom to let water escape, just not sure about the 25" mark. Thanks

It was one continuous piece of rubber from the factory but most aftermarket pieces don't have the lip that extends over the edge into the trunk for that reason because you can't have the lip on the rear portion (the two 25" portions) As far as I know, Steele Rubber is the only place out there that is selling an actual factory style seal. The top image is what a cross section from Steele looks like, the bottom is how most others look
