Hi !!!!
This is my first time to post anything on "B-bodies" only. AND my first restoration!!!! Boy is it great to have knowledgeable hands on friends who not only help but teach at the same time.
I have a '69 Pillar Coupe (Post Car). It is a numbers matching car. It is powered by a 383 4spd., with the high performance axle package.
I have taken the car all the way down to just the frame and the body and have removed the roof skin and am in the process of removing all evidence of spot-weld marks and rustproofing the roof frame. The next steps will be to remove the full quarters plus the inner and outer wheel wells and re & re the rear cross member and all pieces across the back of the car. The upper cowl, driver's inside front fender and the door post on the driver's side has also been removed and actual "original" parts sourced.
I located and bought an original hood from another restorer in California.
AMD has provided the roof skin, both full quarter, one rocker panel and various pieces to rebuilt across the back of the car including the tail light housing and a set of trunk gutters.
I also intend to install an air grabber (N69?) before I finish.
Is someone can give me very simple to follow instructions I could post some pictures as pictures save a thousand words.
