Tuner needed

Thats my problem, I need eyes on, well my case, eye on. Lol! I’ll get it, just gonna take me longer than it should. I won’t give up, not in my nature to let an inadament object kick my ***.

I appreciate the offer, give me some time with it. If I don’t get it I’ll pm you.

Well, I tried. Got nowhere fast. I’m just not finding out how to get the email tune to the Holley V4 so I can send it the ECU. My brain is mush, so I’m done trying for today. This has to be super easy and I can’t figure it out.
its o.k 5.7 you are getting some help and you will get this done.tomorrow is another day

Went after it again this afternoon when my neighbor/good buddy came over. Last night he asked me to send him some links to the Holley Terminator “how to’s”. Anyway, within 5 minutes he figured out what I couldn’t......the tune that my other buddy sent to me was in text form, I need it to be in hefi for the Terminator to see it. I actually had done what he did, I just didn’t realize it was in the wrong format.

So I texted my other buddy and explained what had happened and he said he messed up. Doh!!! So in the next few days I’ll get the tune in the right format and get it loaded. He’s a busy guy, always traveling for work, that’s why I have a wait on getting it right.

Update.......
Sooooo, my buddy that I always help finally got some time to come over and look at the tune. Now this tune that I’ve been using ALWAYS smelled pig rich at cold start up, no mosquitoes in a 5 mile radius. Well it turns out that he used the tune for his 340 to run my 470. There’s a big difference between our engines, 130 cubic inches. So I say I found a base tune on the Holley V4 for a 454. So we saved the original tune, and loaded in the other. Holy ****! What a difference! Engine cranked for a second and fired up, settled down to 750 rpm’s and the stench was all but gone.

We watched the screen turn different colors (red=pig rich, orange=rich, yellow=getting there, green=almost perfect and blue=dead nuts for AFR). The cells were red and as the engine got to temp, the cells started changing. Idle is damn near perfect and as the rpm’s went up the cells were changing colors.

Then my neighbor came over and complained about the noise, so we called it a day. Don’t want to piss her off.

So now the car is running better than ever and got to put some drive time on it.

That's awesome @5.7 hemi Now you need to post a video so that we can all enjoy the sound of that big block. Oh yeah, and screw that whiny neighbor.

I’m pretty nice guy, and they are paying for a new fence, so I’m being civil.

I endure this at work with formats when processing reports, diagrams, fotos. Frustrating. Usually simple, IF you know.

Hey Zack @5.7 hemi
Tried to fire mine up this weekend and was a no go. Need to pick your brain on what you've learned so far.
When I went into the wizard there were no GCF files to start. I took the SD out and put it in my laptop and there was a V4 file there just not the 110 build and installed the new V4, which came in as a zipped file. I've read that the EcU wont read a zipped file. I extracted them and saved to the SD...does this sound correct? I watched a video of a guy who said to wipe the SD and import everthing new. Unfortunately the car is at the shop and I'm at home so no way to test the therory..
I've been reading a lot, watching vids ect on this and everything is running together, Holley Term X, Term HP yada yada... I understand the mush part..
Spoke to Brian who I bought the Term from and said he could help later but I'm wanting to get you input as well.
Thanks for any help you can provide!!!

With the V4 there are tunes there that you can use. I saw one for a 454 which was the closest to my 470 in size. I used that and it ran great. But I also enabled the quick learn so it could learn what my engine needed.

Anything above that is above my pay grade, seriously! My buddy E-9 Master Chief active duty, he’s the one that did my setup. I watched, ask questions and then found the 454 tune and we then loaded it, was great. Got rid of the rich idle condition, it’d make your eyes water!
