I wanna turn my 69 Coro 440 into the car I dreamed of when I was 18.

Part of that is a big block with tunnel ram and polished scoop sticking out the hood. I'm looking for some inspiration. Has anyone got pics of a polished scoop poking through their hood? You just don't see them much any more. Everyone's covering up the bling.

No scoop but I like my air cleaners better

Now that's what I'm talking about! What sort of TR is that? Do you have a pic with the hood closed?

The tunnel ram is a weiand , the carbs are Eddy 1406 with the chokes removed. I don't have a pic with the hood closed but they stick out a good 10" out of the hood lol

OK, it aint a B body, but it is a 440 tunnel ram. Been on the car since the late 80's.

I do have better pics but I am upgrading my server so they aren't available at the moment. 440, two 600 vac sec Holleys, built 727 trans. There is lots more done. I had it tuned to run great on the street. It was definitely more GO than Show.

i have a question, hope you dont mind me asking on your topic Scotty?

Badvert,
how high in inches is it from your intake bottom to the top of the hat?
do you by any chance have the specs of what you did to the carbs to make them respond?
how did you setup the kickdown linkage?
( thats an insanely nice car also )

to Anyone, can you run 1 carb on a tunnel ram effectively,
or is it a waste of time?
ive been looking at the stand-alone fuel injection units and was thinking about a tunnel ram.

Can't find pics of mine.....never was much on taking them. Also had a boat with single top carb setup on a TR and always thought it looked goofy. It ran ok but boats and cars act differently. Kickdown linkage? Best way imo to run a TR on the street with an automatic is to use a manual VB. I've always manually shifted my autos so it's a no brainer to me plus it keeps the throttle area cleaner looking but if you're wanting to use the kickdown setup....Lokar might be the way to go?

Thanks Cranky
yeah i figured as much on the single carb,
and i have the bouchillon cable already....
i dont know what im doing in this area so,hmm.
more research,and thanks again :)
