Turbine Cars...

Aah, yes, we heard the rumblings of this car back then, and anxiously awaiting its arrival. Which never happened.

There was a display at MCACN in 2019. Cool stuff!

All these pictures were from the 1965 New York Worlds Fair. The first picture is the theater where a Chrysler promotional film was shown. The second picture shows the giant white car that was at the Chrysler Pavilion. The third picture is My wife Robin, the tall girl in the backseat, her sister Karin, and her brother Steven. In the front seat is her brother Bill. After seeing the promotional film in the theater, they were asked to check under there seats. Attached to the bottom of the seat her brother Steven sat in was a gold ticket. The ticket was for a ride in the Chrysler Turbine car. The last picture is the track they were given the ride on. My wife left the Chrysler Pavilion believing she had just ridden in what all cars would be like in the future. She remembers the console with all the control levers, and it sounding like a jet plane taking off as the car started to move. The silver prototype 66 Charger was also on display at the Chrysler Pavilion. The front end on the prototype did not make it on the production 66 Charger.
