I saw this turn signal switch for sale close to me in Canada. I just replaced mine a couple of years ago but now I am having issues with the brake lights again.

It says it is for a 1966 Charger, and it is labelled NORS, but they have no information on what make it is. Does anyone recognize the numbers written on the bag?

I have a parts book at home I can try and find the Mopar number.
The "R" in NORS means replacement so not necessarily original Mopar by that definition.

Thanks Don, I was hoping it was an older replacement switch as opposed to one of the new ones that don't seem too reliable.

Yep. Too bad it isn't a NOS one (in a Mopar box) The NORS switches are hit and miss. (mostly miss) I see a few NOS ones on E bay right now for a few hundred dollars. One looks like a used one. Look carefully if you are searching to buy.

Part number 2496163 is the original Chrysler part number for the turn signal switch for multiple 1964 - 1966 models, without tilt steering, including 1966 Charger.

2496163 was superseded by 2631383, then 2822170.

As mentioned, the "R" in NORS denotes "Replacement" and indicates an aftermarket part.

I got a hit on ebay using that part number which shows a switch that looks identical to the one in my ad. The actual part number is 738-001 and the brand says TVM (Temecula Valley Mopar). Country of manufacture says United States. Two paragraphs down is the warning "be aware that there are Chinese made switches for this application that are advertised as fitting 1962-66 Chrysler Corp. vehicles even though 1964-66 cars require different terminal ends than 1962-63 models"

Anyone ever heard of TVM?

@Slantsixdan yet another thread about repop turn signal switches.

@qkcuda , Here are a few of the many discussions already posted.

If I remember correctly, the switch I had installed a couple of years ago was from Dan. It was working fine until recently, but has always had a funny catch when turning the wheel. Due to my vertigo issues, I don't do well working under the dash, which is why I had another shop install it. I plan on pulling it apart this winter to see if there is just a bad connection, but if this is turns out to be a quality switch I wouldn't mind having one available in case I can't reuse the current one.

Good turn signal switches can be a headache to find. I found a NOS unit for my Dodge A100 out of Turkey of all places.

Works perfectly fine every time....it's a genuine part and correct for the vehicle. Check eBay International....you never know what's out there.
