Who has one they will sell? Who markets them? Ghost.

Ya I'm pretty sure the sockets are made in Taiwan, the only thing they manufacture here that im aware of is hydraulic jacks and presses.

Thats a great price...I paid 3x that years ago for one...for a socket rarely used...
First time I ever used one now its sitting in my tool box collecting dust, had it been an everyday tool or one used frequently I would've sought out an American made socket

It seems like I use mine at least once a year. I bought another one, to make/machine a disassembly tool for my hydra-boost.

I've used mine many times and have used it just recently to do someone's A arms for him. It's a Proto 6550 if that helps. Didn't see any Proto sockets on Ebay.

Both mine are PROTO sockets. Excellent quality.

Thanks everyone, I asked my buddy up the road if he had one and he did. Got them both out fine.

Agree. If I make marks of that type while working on a vehicle I make note of them and go back and file or grind them off. I have cut myself before that very way.

I was a captive audience the day I needed one for a stang 2 front suspension that uses Mopar joints. $100 lighter that day courtesy of Snap On but no choice. Bought the other one later for another c-note. US made at least. The pisser is, though, that I lent out the two sockets I [keyword!] had to a relative and never got them back due to good ol family issues. Last time I do that!

Someone else told me that too. I intend to after they are cleaned . The car only had 69,000 miles on it so i'm hopeful that there wont be any issues.

While I'm thinking of it, compare the length of the bj stud of what you take out to the replacement. That chebby I worked on with the stang 2 suspension and mopar joints had longer than stock studs. I did not notice this until I started tightening things up and found interference issues with the control arms and spindles. The cheap units the customer got from Speedway, made in the PRC, were shorter by 3/4" at the straight portion of the stud. Got one from NAPA and it was closer to what I took out. Watch out for overseas, improperly made junk! Been finding out problems with fittings and fasteners too where the threading is correct but standard wrenches/sockets don't fit, must use metric.
