Looking to buy an ultra sonic cleaner. What have you bought and are you pleased with the purchase. There are a million Chinese units on Amazon and they all have some negative feedback. What recommendations are out there from what you have tried.

Bought a small one from Harbor Freight. Not heavy use but works as advertised. It is a couple years old now.

I bought one that I sized primarily for carburetor cleaning. It seems to work really well with the carb cleaning solution. I have found that it takes a while to heat up the solution so I usually ran parts through a couple of cycles. I’ve cleaned a couple carbs but I don’t have much to compare it to for durability and function. For carbs, the principal item I purchased it for, I’ve been satisfied with it.

I bought the largest one, 30L 7.9 gal.
Reading the reviews and talking to my friends, I got one with as little digital as possible.
I got it to clean carbs, and it works.
You have to be carefull as to what cleaning solutions you use.
Cleaning junk steel is easy with super clean. Or derust with vinegar.
I have mine set up next to a sink, so I can drain directly. You will be changing the water ALOT.
I wish I could have a bigger one, but the price point jumps to the thousands.

I bought one as well, been using it for 3 years only issue is the plastic covering the buttons is starting to crack, but they still work. Use it for carbs and engine small parts. found the Totally Awesome cleaner works very well for a reasonable price. cleans a carb in about 15 minutes. Buy LA's Totally Awesome All Purpose Cleaner, 128 fl oz from Dollar General - Instore

Same one I bought. I've used the Simple Green Extreme Aircraft and Precision Cleaner. Seems to work well. Agree it takes a while to get the water hit.

Vevor 30L unit here. Have used on a number of parts. I've had success with Spray Nine cleaner for steel items. Pine Sol with hot water for aluminum items.

Example shown: Valve covers that had two coats of paint and rust. Once the ultrasonic Spray Nine fluid was very hot, the valve covers were soaked multiple time cycles (shown mid-way through the process). Paint and oil removed. No harm to rubber.

Valve covers were then treated to Evapo-Rust soaks, sanded, primed and painted.

Note: Valve covers were too large for unit and had to be done half-at-a-time.
