Not that I want to be correct but what exactly gets undercoatings? underside of the body from floor pan to rear floor pan? what about wheel wells does anyone undercoat those? If not what do you do to your wheel wells to make them look new or at least clean? paint them at all?

Any other part of the under carriage get coated? Need schooling on this about to go cleaning now that the weather is getting nicer. And yes I want to help cover old metal, not rusted just old, and sound deaden from the underside too.

as far as protection and sound deadening, coat any metal whos other side faces the interior.also, any metal that will get wet when its raining or snowing, depending on your weather.the wetter your enviroment, the more undercoat you should use.

So frame rails and body, I assume not moving parts? or trans, torsion bars etc right? or do them?

You are correct...no moving parts, trans, torsion bars, etc., unless you are trying to mimic what may have been done as a dealer install. Those guys were not too particular what they got overspray on.

Mine is undercoated from where the rear bumper mounts attach on the inside up to the lower firewall pinch-weld seam. The inner front sub-frame is body color, while the outerside and underside is coated. When my hood is open you don't see any undercoating in the engine bay area...just body color.

As for the front end, the entire undersides of the fenders & 'outerside' of the inner wheel well are coated as well. Coating the fenders with a good thick coat is important because it helps absorb anything kicked up by the tires that would otherwise leave a 'star' in the paint should it hit hard enough.

I would keep it off the 'K-frame' as well, but that's just me.
