Before she went solo with her 'Horses' album, Patti contributed several songs, co-writings and singing on some songs for Blue Öyster Cult, declining their offer to be the lead singer. After her first album, she was still active in writing and singing on their 1976 album 'Agents Of Fortune'. (She was in a relationship at the time with Allan Lanier, B.O.C.'s founding member keyboard player and rhythm guitarist.)
