Made a trip to the body shop today and took a few photos, its strange not seeing it all in red. I can't wait to see the turquoise paint go on. The rear valance was pretty dented up and he was able to get it all out with a dolly and hammer. So far so good...The street rod is fiberglass with a 71' 440 with a torque flite, color is called "Purple Passion". Looks like my car is in pretty good company!

I am really excited about it. He told me that he could have sold it 3 times so far but didn't think I would appreciate it. I think he was right!!!:angry9:

I remember when I was at that point,watching the progress,even helping wet-sanding primer:director:

Its great to look in the trunk and not see bed liner, what a pain in the azz that was. He has been working on the street rod to get it ready for a show and I was told that mine will come home the second week of October. He pulled the front fenders, straightened the front valance and will sand blast it and the filler panel this week. He still needs to work in the engine compartment but that will take some time.

Stopped tonight at the body shop and he cut in color today, will assemble the front end tomorrow and will paint the engine compartment. Strip goes on Saturday with the pody paint on Monday. Looks like it will be home by next weekend.
