UPS shipping costly lesson today

Maybe a couple of the big sellers on here will comment on the shipping costs and what if any additional charges the are getting dinged with. Kim
I ship a lot of parts with out issue. Package it well, put in the actual weight and measure accurately. If it’s 11 1/4 inches it goes to 12 it’s always rounded to the next inch. If it’s over it’s OVER. No problems. If the shipper tries to cheat a little on weight or size it’s no one’s fault but their own…

USPS works the same way. I got dinged for extra postage when I claimed the box was 12" when it was actually 12 1/8". Now, if it is over, I round it up to the next inch so I don't have to get dinged for it. Same goes for weight. If it weighs 2 lbs 12 oz, I round it up to 3 lbs. I usually use USPS over FEDEX and UPS simply because it is cheaper not better. Pirate Ship usually supplies the options but not always.
