Urine in or youre out!

I work, they pay me.
I pay my taxes & the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, in my case, I am required to pass a random urine test

(with which I have no problem).

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

So, here is my question: Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their BUTT----doing drugs while I work.

Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could call the program "URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"!

PS Just a thought, all politicians should have to pass a urine test too!

I think that welfare checks should be available for pick-up between 5 and 6 am. Because if I have to get up, SO SHOULD YOU! While I'm at it....I also HATE FAT PEOPLE ON FOOD STAMPS!!!!

Or how about the woman in line in front of me at the supermarket checkout (true story) with a cart overflowing with items. Only pays about 30 bucks for the whole thing, the rest is on food stamps.

At the same time, her husband/boyfriend comes over from the courtesy desk with FOUR cartons of cigarettes!!!!

I hope they choked on them!!!

I am in to playing the drums, I collect vintage drums and have built a couple myself. I started the same thread over at a drum forum that I frequent and it would sicken you to see how the liberals over there are up in arms and how unfair it would be to institute a program like this

Well, dont get me started here! "What do you call a musician that just broke-up with his girlfriend?" HOMELESS!!!! I've known alot of local musicians, and most of them live off the dole, tax-free gigs, and their girlfriends. So your experience is not that surprising.

Political campaigns have been won with slogans and causes that weren't as sensible as this.
Here is a true story about the way some of the poorer people in our community think. We spent about 3 weeks taking and sorting donations for a clothing drive for the lower income families who have kids that attend schools in our school district. There are about 550 school district employees, so there was a substantial amount of lightly used clothing and household items donated. There were a lot of volunteer hours spent sorting clothing to make sure that anything that was worn out or heavily stained was discarded before the weekend of the event. Items were sorted by gender and size, and you could have picked up a closet full of clothes for almost any size person up to 2XL adult. During the three day weekend that we invited families to pick up free clothing and household items, we had a total of five families show up. I heard negative comments from kids in a couple of those families that the stuff wasn't cool enough, the right brand, etc... The father of one kid said you can wear this and be grateful, or wear nothing- your call, champ. This father was also the only one whom I heard say thank you for the help. One woman actually suggested we post the clothes on craigslist and just donate the money so the families could get what they wanted. I was immensely pleased to see her name in the local police blotter for shoplifting a few weeks later.

I work for Habitat for Humanity,we always need volunteers, why not make the dead beats work for their checks at any one of the many Volunteer organizations like Habitat,the food bank,united way and what not...That would solve the shortage of volunteers and would probably force most to get out and get a real job.Another thing that really burns my ***.....At my last job I made a good buck,they packed up and moved back to the USA so I had to change jobs for much lower pay.When it came time for my Child support payments to be adjusted to my new lower income my Ex's lawyer had the nerve to try and tell me to find a better paying job to continue my level of support payments...Meanwhile my deadbeat ex is sitting on welfare and having all of her lawyers fees and court costs covered by Ontario works and I'm stuck paying for everything on my end...I've always made sure my daughter has what she needed and even managed to put some money away for college for her on top of my regular support payments so how about telling my EX to get a job for once in her life and contribute to our daughters future.
