valve cover fitment issues

My motor using Indy -1 heads, Indy 440-25 crossram, Indy valve covers, 440 Source distributor. I ground the intake, head, and the lip of the distributor cap. It has maybe .060" clearance. You can see here with the intake lid removed. The valve covers come off easily with no distributot removal. It gets lashed every 20 passes. My old Max Wedge had Indy -1 heads and indy valve covers. It had the bottoms of the outer carb fmounting flanged trimmed to allow cover removal. Fitting stuff is just normal Hot Rodding.

He said he can't see how any head is different from another.. indy, Victor, rpm, stock, B1, trickflow, .. they're all from the same cast mold.

Its clear you never messed with a victor type head and a fast 2.0 distributor , heads are not the same !, fast dist. is short , puts the actual dist housing at the same height of the corner of the "UNMACHUNED" victor head ...!

I assume you meant to quote gkent.
But personally no, I'm running a stock distributor with Victor MW CNC 's.
