Valve stem sizes.

What are the usual stainless steel valve stem sizes on a big block wedge? No time to get to the garage to measure and buying new keepers and forgot what size they were just a couple of years back. LOL.

That question is too vague. If they were oem replacement stainless valves, then 3/8" (0.371"), if they were performance, they could be 11/32" (0.341") or 5/16" (0.312"). I would wait to look at what you have, or just order 3 sets of keepers, one for each size...

I usually replace the keepers with HD hardened ones, but the Pioneer ones are getting scarce. It would be prudent to use machined locks for more strength, and are available from Comp Cams and other sources. Also in 7 & 10 degree and standard and +/-0.050" if you need to adjust spring height.

Factory head 3/8". Trick Flow and Indy heads are 11/32" (Big Chevy). Then there are 7, 8, 10 degree, +/- .050"/.100" installed height, single groove, multi groove.
