It was fun. I've never been to a "Con" but I have enjoyed the Sci-Fi genre in books, movies, and TV since I was in grade school, and horror films too.
This was centered around The Walking Dead series on AMC.
We met some of the stars, took 2 tours of areas in Atlanta where the show is filmed, and even picked up some cast figures, artwork, and my favorite-a real wood and barbed wire Lucille replica which we had treated by some makeup artists at the show who added blood, spatter, and tissue to the barbed wire end of the bat and had the actor who plays Nagen autograph it. It, the artwork, and the figures will form some kind of display for our theater room.
In reflection on the event and the season, I am temporarily changing my avatar to a Zombie emoji

Senoia isn't too far from me. I like the series but haven't been to locate any of the buildings or locations. Atlanta is now little Hollywood. You see crap around all the time.
Hell, My son has the same foot doctor as Gil Gerrard. You know him as Buck Rogers

I've never really seen the appeal of zombies, but glad to hear you and the mrs. had a good time:thumbsup:

I'm a big fan of the show.
Some people love to bash something that is popular. There are people that are talking about how the show is not worth watching anymore, how the ratings have fallen, etc. It must just be part of the human spirit to destroy things. Me? I like the show. I'll admit that I am not as excited to watch it as I used to be. The season 6 finale and season 7 premier were brutal and ugly. The entire season 7 was like seeing your favorite sports team get their asses kicked every week. I rarely go back to rewatch anything from season 7. Last year was their "All out War" season. I did like it much better than season 7 but looking back, I liked the show better before the cast expanded so much. Too many characters means that nobody gets a large amount of screen time each week. They also had a habit of having 3 or 4 shows in a row with only 2 or 3 characters. This made it so within one month of episodes, the general storyline only encompassed 1 day. That really made the general progress of the show drag on and get nowhere.

Here is the Negan "Lucille" bat I got on a display at the show. I don't have a pic of mine right now, but the "embellishments" we had made are gross...in a good way.
Real wood, real barbed wire
