Warning to Canadian car buyers

That's "our" doing, so lets not get politics going on this one! Why the hell they added the cars and parts for over 25 years old vehicles HS code of 9966.00 to the list is beyond me!

They couldn't apply the 9966.00 code against a vehicle, as vehicles aren't tariffed as a whole. Parts still apply at this point and who knows what Tuesday will bring. The goal posts move every day... and lets leave the game there until the spoon stops stirring.

Goal posts move early. Started late yesterday.

Greedy MoFo’s Trudeau Effect……

I saw that story on the news the other day. Tariffs aside, I feel so bad for the guy. Unlike so many of us who've had our cars or are already restoring our cars for years, he's just a older retired dude who wanted to finally own his dream car, and got royally screwed. The seller has no empathy as well, refusing the take back the car.

A broker saw this story and took up the fight. The buyer did finally get his car home without incurring any tariff charges.

Nice, that's good to hear. I'd also like to know how that was accomplished, as this will surely happen to other unsuspecting car buyers.

Just happy to see the man get his dream car he paid for.
Must have been some sleepless nights. You work your
whole life.......
