Was the luggage rack a 1970 only option?

They were available in 1968.I salvaged a totalled 68 Charger R/T in 1980 but removed the trunk lid and rack.
It is still in my garage to this day. it was a dark blue car, but I have thought about painting it and Installing it on mine. they are cool!

I don't remember seeing them on any 68 Chargers from the factory,late built 69 Chargers were the first cars I remember seeing them on.

could be they added it, the rack is original mopar.
I removed it in 1980 from a1968 charger R/T, I bought out of a salvage yard. Dark blue with black top and interior.the salvage yard owner said the car had been there since 1975, right rear total. I have carried it around for many years!
There is a part number under assessories for the charger in the 1969 blue parts book for the rack,, and for the A body Cuda as well.
