This was a bit concerning to me. Kind of a sad state of affairs, double check everything! You just never know now days.

Who would have thought that they’d be counterfeiting spark plugs?
I have heard stories about O2 sensors, and a ton of places will put "OEM" or "original equipment" on their aftermarket parts. I had to buy an AWD solenoid module for my 2013 Charger. There must be a dozen manufacturers. Half of them claim original equipment, but things like the wires being different colors, the one little support peg is a different shape, they were all slightly off. You can only get the original equipment from a dealer. I am sure some of the aftermarket would be fine but i automatically can;t trust them if they lie about it right away!

I was surprised to hear about spark plugs. Never would have thought about it even ten years ago.

I worked at (st)ealers in the 80s that sold aftermarket parts as factory. I can only imagine what happens NOW!
