66 charger 383 4b. 727, white with red interior. She is in descent shape but has a bad drivers rear quarter panel where she was hit and someone did a poor job replacing it. I am looking for another drivers full quarter panel. The trunk lid is rusted out along the bottom edge and around the emblem so it will need to be replaced. The headlights don't flip and the el lighting is inoperable. Yesterday my son and I threw on some Ansen mag wheels and the cast off radiator from our Coronet It should be a nice car when it is done. Now we have 3 Mopars! 66 Charger, 67 Coronet, 68 Dart Gt

You could probably get the full quarter from all metal direct. AMD. They ship some nice parts.

Nice, looking forward to seeing it come together because it seems like these early Chargers never get finished around here.

AMD does not make replacement quarters for 66-67 Chargers. I also found there is nobody remaking the quarters so I will have to hunt down a used one. I cleaned up the interior yesterday and found the build sheet! Also got the headlights to flip over. It was a good day. I will post more pix soon. I was not a big fan of the gen 1 Charger roof but it is growing on me fast and with rear bucket seats, hidden headlights, pass through trunk and el lightingplus a few other trick options I can see why people love them. Too bad the parts are so hard to find.

they look really good with some wide tires on the back.

Very cool project, My first Mopar was a 67 and the same color combo you have there, Good luck with the re-store!!!

i'm not a real big fan of those year chargers, but they do grow on you and I have seen some real nice ones on here. Looks like you're on your way up thru the years.

A few new pix of our 66

We put a quick coat of primer on her to button her up for the winter and now we are working on the mechanical bits. It is a nice car and we like it a lot but too original. We like to give them the go fast parts but it would be a shame to do it to this one. Maby we will sell it or trade in for another Mopar? Thanks for looking.IMG_20141024_120114970_HDR.jpg

nice Charger. Nothing wrong with adding go fast parts, just hang onto them.

update

Got all of the electrical ironed out. Now the headlights flip and all the el gauges are working. We are tackling the engine bay. Some idiot methhead spray painted everything under the hood. We are cleaning off all of the wiring harness and stripling the engine down for a reseal and repaint/detail. Someone swapped out the stock 4 barrel intake for a 2 barrel but we found the stock 4 barrel carb in a pile of extra parts in the trunk. Looks like we need a stock 383 air cleaner top and a 66 383 intake manifold. Can't wait to drive it!

I love that one man, I hope you have fun with it, i had one once that was white but your interior is the same color, I always did like these model Chargers, If you put some wide fat tires on it, she would really look dangerous! MPO but the wide tires make the back side of these cars look great...

Ron 73 this one was originally a white car. It will be repainted white. We locked her up in primer for the winter. Black or silver both look awesome as well with the red interior
